Our location at the intersection of the Trans Canada Highway, near Springdale and Highway 410, the gateway to the Baie Verte Peninsula is an ideal starting point for exploring the area.

Fishing & Hunting

Anglers have a choice of salmon, brook and pond trout. We're just 5 minutes from Indian River and Black Brook and a short drive from a few of the many ponds and lakes that our area is famous for.

Resident hunters can take advantage of excellent small game and waterfowl opportunities at our doorstep while visitors to the province have the services of local outfitters based nearby. Highway 410 straddles 2 moose management areas with caribou hunting on the west side. Spring and Fall hunts are available for North Americas largest, the Newfoundland Black Bear, found only on the island.

Snowmobiling crossroads

We're located at the intersection of a network of groomed snowmobile trails that lead to points in the Nfld. interior, Baie Verte Peninsula, Long Range Mountains and Green Bay.

Hiking & sight-seeing

The Green bay area boasts 9 major walking / hiking trails. Modern trails with all the amenities offer ready accesss to the areas spectacular scenery.

Museums & Historic Sites

The Baie Vette Peninsula has a rich history of mining. Museums and abandoned settlements give a rare glimpse into this glorious past.

Iceberg Alley

The Labrador current brings icebergs to our shores, along with whales seals and dolpins who feed on tiny krill and capelin. Whale pavilions with full size reconstructed skeletons are opening soon.
